Teddy kept his eyes locked on hers as she spoke to him, and he let out a small sigh. He didn’t think his advice was helping. “I know you’re trying.. Everything’s going to be okay..” He said deciding he might as well try and reassure her. He turned and went to wrap his other arm around her and pulled her into a hug. He just wanted her to know he was there for her.

Teddy frown as he slowly went to wrap an arm around her. He didn’t want to be over stepping his boundaries. “Hayley, I’m sorry.. If you ever need anyone, i’m always here. I know sometimes things look bad, and you can’t imagine them ever getting better, but trust me they will. I know they will, you just have to keep fighting through it..” He told her lightly squeezing her shoulder. He wasn’t sure if anything he was saying was helping, but he hoped it did.
“Teddy, thing is, I’m tired. I’m just tired, I’m trying, I swear.” She said looking up at him her eyes tearing up. Looking straight at him wasn’t making this easier. She knows he would always be here for her. But not in the way she’d want him to be. She felt like he would never look at her like more than a friend. “Thank you for your advice, though.” She managed to say.

Teddy walked into the owlery spotting Hayley sitting and looking towards the sky. He slowly walked over to joint her. “Hey..” He replied as he went to take a seat next to her. He offered her a small smile, though he could see right past hers. She was sad that much was obvious, now it would just be a matter of figuring out what was wrong. “How are you?” He questioned delicately, but before she was able to speak he spoke up again. “I mean, how are you really?” He didn’t want a cover answer.
Hayley looked at him in the eyes and took a deep breath. Someone that actually bothered to know how was she. Hayley looked down at her hands and shrugged. “I feel like I’m in the middle of a big crowded room, screaming at the top of my lungs, but no one bothers to even look up.” She said and then took another deep breath, trying not to cry.

Teddy read the last owl from Hayley and jumped off his bed, and grabbed a jacket on the way out of his room. He hadn’t seen Hayley in a while. He hadn’t seen very many people in a while. Every time it seemed that he’d turn around something new came up for him to do. He couldn’t catch a break, so the thought of just going to see was nice for him. He made his way across the courtyard, which already were dark as night fell upon the grounds. As he neared the owlery and ran up the steps taking them two at a time happy to get to see Hayley again. He could tell there had been something wrong with her, and this was the first chanced he’d have to find out what it was. Since she was a friend he didn’t like hearing that she was upset, and he wanted to do what he could to help.
Hayley looked up at the sky and sighed. Everything in her life was going down the hill. Her parents fighting again, her brother being a total ass because of their parents fighting, guys trying to hit on her all the time, guys nearly raping her if it wasn’t for prefects catching them, her studies not going well, her twisted ankle she got at the last quidditch game, her being kicked out of the quidditch team because of her twisted ankle and messed up grades, this rumor of her being pregnant and to make it all worse, Teddy was dating another girl and well… The list was endless. She was just tired. She looked back as she heard someone coming and she smiling slightly. “Hi.”
